RECKON X AMBRE

Recently, we headed on an adventure with amazing human and beyond talented surfer Ambre, to roam those beautiful streets in Mexico and surf its incredible waves. Ambre's favourite, the DiMaria, was lucky enough to join her on this amazing trip.

Planning on going on a trip to Mexico once the borders are open and when the planes really start flying again? Below are our favourite go-to places.

SAYULITA

Not too far from the other popular Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita is the place we love the most! Mainly because of the variety of waves with an atmosphere so chilled you just dream away sipping on your cocktail with your toes in the sand after a day in the ocean. Plus, the sunsets here are beyond beautiful!

MERIDA

Keen to have a break of chasing waves, Merida is the perfect spot to dive into Mexico’s beautiful, rich cultural heritage. You will find everything from colonial architecture to the Mayan culture including its language and its tasty cuisine. The best part of Merida is the fact that is far less touristy than the main attractions, so head here to dive into real Mexico and don’t forget the Plaza Grande.

ISLA HOLBOX

What if you could head to one of those islands just like they appear in your dreams? Well, if you are travelling in Mexico, this paradise island will far exceed those dreams and can actually become reality. Isla Holbox needs no words to describe. It’s white beaches and perfectly shades of blue ocean is absolutely divine. No cars but only bikes and golf carts and also easily to wander around by foot. For us its just a beyond favorite must-go-to island.

TEQUILA

And of course, when you visit Mexico, you must visit the town that filled a whole region with distilleries of that drink we never pass up - yes, tequila. Just roam through the souvenir shops and visit one of the distilleries and definitely don’t forget to taste a shot or two to try out. Tip: You can even take a tequila train to this epic day-trip town or even sleep in a Giant tequila barrel!!!
